Agreed to Cooperate with TIFT University and University of Utara Malaysia

Delegation of our university made a visit to Universiti Utara Malaysia.
Professor Kamal Izuwan, Dean of Utara University’s Faculty of Tourism, and Professor Muhamad Fauzi, Deputy Dean, greeted our delegates. Members of our delegation were first exposed to the conditions that provided for students and education on the university’s 1061-hectare campus.
In addition, a meeting was held during the visit with the participation of the TIFT University team and Utara University vice-chancellor for International Relations, Professor Arpah Abu Bakar, Utara Business Administration Dean Professor Shuhymee Ahmed, and other officials in order to establish mutually beneficial cooperation.
Key topics discussed during the meeting were the establishment and development of a partnership in the capacity building programmes for both staff and teachers, professor of TIFT University, as well as the planning of future educational and practical activities in the scientific process between both universities. Furthermore, at the meeting, it was agreed to establish joint educational programmes, teacher and student exchange programmes, and student summer and winter schools.
Utara University was founded in 1984 and is now placed 481st in the QS World University Rankings, 401-500th in the Times Higher Education (THE) Ranking, and 20th in “Rankings – South Eastern Asia.” In addition, the university is ranked third among Malaysia’s higher education institutions.
