The purpose of this course is to teach students to create and use cards in scientific and practical work. Students during the lesson;
- introducing the types and types of maps and atlases, as well as the cartographic projections used in their creation and their characteristics;
- use of cartographic methods in drawing thematic maps and describing the terrain, etc
In addition, it is necessary to teach students the essence, characteristics of topographic maps and the methods of performing topographic-geodetic measurements in the field and their use in the work process.
During the training, they learn the issues of determining quality and quantity indicators from topographic plans and maps, geodetic instruments and the procedure for working with them. As a result, students learn how to read topographic maps, how to use them, and how to measure horizontal and vertical angles, distances, and heights directly with geodetic instruments, and how to obtain and compile a topographic plan of a place.
